Here I am with the second post of the geometric wow series (a “published in random” series)!
If you missed the first article themed Geometric Wow Jewelry, you can read it here.
While doing my research I found this collection of original leggings and stockings. Loved them at first sight.
The design is extremely original, actual and fashion.
Thinking they are handmade makes them even more valuable!
The creator is Alyona Bauska from Riga, Latvia. She sells her products on Etsy at QooQooFashion.

I also love the geometric designs of these screen printed leather pouches and tote bags by Corium from Lithuania, Europe.
Amazing! Going crazy with these patterns!
I chose these because, in addition to love the geometric designs, I like the idea of covering vessels and containers with salvaged or repurposed sweater.
It’s a thing we can also try at home and have fun with!

The knitted bear and fox pillows are wonderful!! And the tail?
These lovely and funny works are by Colette Bream from United States.
When I saw the pillows I could not resist, they’re perfect for the IB collection of featured works and creatives.
All the pillows in the Etsy shop are amazing. I like also her knitted clouds and the birds.
Makes me want to learn to knit! Well, in the truth it’s a thing I think I’ll never be able to learn. Hummm…

I cuscini lavorati a maglia con l’orso e la volpe sono meravigliosi!! E la coda?

Quando ho visto i cuscini non ho resistito, sono perfetti per la collezione di lavori e creativi che pubblico qui in IB.
Tutti i cuscini che ho visto nell’ Etsy shop sono davvero belli. Mi piacciono molto anche le nuvole e gli uccelli fatti a maglia.
Mi fa venire voglia di imparare a sferruzzare… ma in verità penso sia una di quelle cose che non sarò mai in grado di imparare!

As I’ve already told you before, I’m not a huge fan of painted rocks but lately there are some great artists that are really making me want to try.
I think these designs are amazing because I find they’re very creative and original in their simplicity.
The artist who creates them is Natasha Newton from London, United Kingdom.
Natasha sell her handmade works (that include also amazing paintings and drawings) at Etsy under the name of TheBlackbirdSings.
She’s also on TheBlackbirdSings blog, on Facebook and on Twitter.
Just need acrylic paint and some rocks to be able to create your own piece of art, and these ones are a beautiful source of inspiration to try with some simple but impressive design.
No more excuses guys!
Anyone can really embellish his studio and home in few creative steps!! :)

Come vi ho detto già in altre occasioni, non sono una grande fan delle pietre dipinte, ma ultimamente ci sono dei bravissimi artisti che mi stanno davvero facendo venire voglia di farne qualcuna.
Penso che questi disegni siano fantastici perché sono creativi ed originali nella loro semplicità.
L’artista che li crea è Natasha Newton e viene da Londra, nel Regno Unito.

EnglishI’m feeling totally inspired by this amazing 75 minutes DIY documentary film on new art made at NOVA Contemporary Culture event! I love love love it and have absolutely to share it with you!!
You’ll see many young artists using many different means and approaches.
From common tape to non sticky flagging tape (I didn’t know this kind of tape,amazing neon and bright colors!), then paint, threads, Poscas, 3D animations, fabric, sounds, lights, ingenius mechanisms…
Something for open minded creatives that is really worth seeing guys!
I fully re-charged the batteries with this, and I’m having a m.o.u.n.t.a.i.n. of ideas and things to try floating in my head!
A great sensation! And it makes me also think about the fact that…
Sometimes the piece of art is the process itself.
So, take some time and enjoy this film (there are also pieces of short interviews made to the various artists).
One of my fav are the works with tape/flagging tape!!

ItalianoUna valanga di ispirazione mi ha presa in pieno con questi 75 minuti di documentario film DIY sulla nuova arte! Lo amo lo amo lo amo e dovevo assolutamente farvelo vedere!!
Vedrete tanti giovani artisti e un sacco di materiali e approcci differenti.
Dal comune nastro adesivo al non adesivo “Flagging tape” (non lo conoscevo, colori neon e brillanti fantastici!), poi pittura, fili, Uniposca, animazione 3D, stoffa, suoni, luci, meccanismi ingegnosi…
Qualcosa per creativi dalla mente aperta che vale davvero la pena di vedere!
Mi sono completamente ricaricata le batterie con questo video, e ho una m.o.n.t.a.g.n.a. di idee che mi fluttuano in mente.
E’ una sensazione speciale. E mi fa anche pensare al fatto che…
A volte l’opera d’arte è il processo stesso.
Prendetevi un pò di tempo e gustatevi questo film (ci sono anche dei pezzi di brevi interviste fatte agli artisti).
Uno dei miei preferiti è il lavoro con il nastro adesivo e il flaggin tape!!

Hi Bloomers!
Today in Italy is sweetly sunny, and the mood it’s perfect to talk about a new creative place worth visiting!
This time I want to introduce you The Maisonette, located in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
I couldn’t leave out this lovely place from our collection of the best Indie Craft Shops around the globe, right?
And this shop looks really nice. I like the way it’s been furnished, the atmosphere, every little thing is arranged carefully and tastefully.
Also the selection of artists and crafters is interesting (some I already know and some are new to me).
These are all features that I pay special attention to when choosing the most beautiful physical craft shops for IB.
The Maisonette is only one of the things you can find at The Made in the Shade, a container of ideas and initiatives run by Carrie Maclennan and Clare Nicolson.

I’m always charmed by these kind of customizations on ceramic and porcelain. Impossible don’t love them.
In this case they’re realized applying decals from original illustrations of the artist, Nancy Mungcal from Los Angeles.
The hard part here is also find the right combination between decals and plates, it’s like a collage work.
Nancy also creates other beautiful objects from her drawings, such as this lovely dish-tea towel.
Love the packaging too, so tidy and cute.
She works under the name of Pretty Little Thieves and on her on line shop you can find also some little things for small budgets such as these adorable pins.

Rimango sempre rapita da questo tipo di personalizzazione su ceramiche e porcellane. Come si fa a non amarle?
In questo caso sono state realizzate applicando dei decals (decalcomanie) ricavate da illustrazioni originali dell’artista, Nancy Mungcal da Los Angeles.
La parte difficile qui è trovare al giusta conbinazione tra le decalcomanie e i diversi piatti, in un mix di gusto e fantasia, come in un collage.
Nancy utilizzando i suoi disegni crea anche altri bellissimi oggetti, come questa tovaglietta da colazion/canovaccio.
Mi paice molto anche com’è stato confezionato, davvero curato e carino.
Lavora col nome di Pretty Little Thieves e nel suo on line shop potete trovare anche piccoli oggeti per piccoli budget come queste bellissime spilline.
