“I am a drawer/designer/worrier/reader/runner/baker/girlfriend/dog admirer/web design project manager and avid tea drinker based in manchester, England.
I think my work reflects my somewhat impatient personality… As soon as I start a project I’m already thinking of what I’ll do next… Sticklebacks, a lonely aardvark and a sad looking beagle are among many creatures who hang around my portfolio wondering whether they’ll get a little more attention one day.
I’ve been lucky recently to do some design work for the BBC. I designed a book which involved doing loads of awesome hand lettering and cutting and pasting photos of cool gadgets and stuff.”

The featured art of today is by Studio Fludd, a young Italian collective from Venice. It consists of 5 creative souls, Caterina, Clara, Sara, Matteo and Valeria.
Let’s hear what they have to say about their story and their works…
“We have a passion for the matter and materials, perhaps it’s for this that we tell unlikely stories about relationships with the English alchemist Robert Fludd.
From friendships at school, united by aesthetic harmonies, we we joined together, believing in the complementarity of skills and temperaments. So far we have ventured into projects ranging from illustration to graphic design, printing art to decoration of walls, to small carpentry works to realize little projects of self-design.
We are looking for a quality of doing, studying ‘the ancients’ and trying to cultivate our blog as a space for visual effervescence, where we also host little interviews with other European creative peers.
In addition to a stand on Etsy, we have just opened an e-shop of our own, full of spring products. We hope you enjoy!”
Over and above to my infinite love for wood as a material, I’m fascinated by the particular use these artists do of colors and shapes. The spring collection is amazing, and I’m excited to see more!

Gli artisti di cui parliamo oggi fanno parte di Studio Fludd, un giovane collettivo Italiano di Venezia. E’ composto di 5 anime creative, Caterina, Clara, Sara, Matteo e Valeria.
Sentiamo cos’ hanno da raccontarci su di loro e su ciò che creano…
“Abbiamo una passione per la materia e i materiali, forse per questo raccontiamo in giro parentele con l’alchimista inglese Robert Fludd.
Da amicizie sui banchi di scuola, uniti da sintonie estetiche, ci siamo aggregati credendo nella complementarietà di temperamenti e competenze. Finora ci siamo cimentati in progetti che vanno dall’illustrazione alla grafica, dalla stampa d’arte alla decorazione di muri, fino alla falegnameria spicciola per realizzare piccoli progetti di design autoprodotto.
Ricerchiamo una qualità del fare, studiando ‘gli antichi’ e cerchiamo di coltivare il nostro blog come spazio di effervescenza visiva, dove ospitiamo anche piccole interviste a creativi europei nostri coetanei.

Today I introduce you these enchanting jewels that come from that magic “city on the water” that’s Venice.
Perlamadre Design is a collaboration of the artisan Simona Iacovazzi from Salento (south Italy) and Evelina Pescarolo, artisan and architect from Venice.
Each of these works are entirely handmade using the lampworking technique and the precious Murano glass, from Venice (EFFETRE and VETROFOND).
Perlamadre Design will be at Chibimart event in Milan on May and at the Silver showroom at Bari on June.

“I’m Lisa Manuels and I live in The Netherlands. I just started my own company in making and selling illustrations, but also in making jewelry (mostly with vintage materials) and giving workshops in making jewelry with these vintage materials.
My illustrations are mostly colorful and sweet. I guess they can be loved by both children and adults! I sell my work in my Etsy shop, but I also love to do custom works. My ultimate dream is to have my own real shop, where I would not only sell my own drawings and jewelry, but also all kinds of work by other illustrators and artists from around the world!
I love being creative and I hope I can go further with creating and selling my art for a very long time!”

Alice loves to create with different and unusual materials with special attention to detail and design.

The Imaginative Bloom giveaway of today host a beautiful and precious vintage style bag that’s been created using a huge variety of materials such as tulle, stretch satin, latex lightweight coated lace, pieces of macrame lace, macro and micro sequins, etc.
The bag has irregular edges and has been decorated with 3 cute tulle’s pom-pom. It is fully lined and the particular closure consist of 2 eyelets in which to pass the satin ribbon to close the bag with a bow.
To open it you don’t need to completely pull away the ribbons.

Tomorrow we will be all excited and curious to read the name of the 19 lucky winners, so let me spend now some words on this.
When I had the idea of this special giveaway and started to organize it, I didn’t expect all this participation. Then, usually summer season is not the best time to organize some kind of things via web because lots of people are out, on holidays or, anyway, they tend to (understandably) spend less time in front of a computer that radiates heat minute after minute but…
Guys, we’re more than 700 players!!! Seven hundred people from all over the world!! This is wonderful!!! ♥

This is the last day to join the Multi Prize Giveaway guys but… ta-daaaa! I’m ready with another wonderful giveaway for you!
This colorful and sprightly headband comes from OnYourHead, a project by Eleonora Marchi.
Every single detail is carefully chosen and assembled with love. This model is embellished with sweet daisies, a fuchsia feathers butterfly and some lovely orange and fuchsia feathers on a metal headband covered with a brown tape.
Eleonora lives in Florence, Italy. She studied to become a costume designer and loves  everything about fashion and costume, with a special passion for millinery and hats. She also worked at the “Costume Gallery” at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, on an archive of an old millinery, where she could learn a lot.
