The first photo is a Ceramic Tea Set consisting of a cup of tea and a teapot. Yes, you got it right! Aren’t they amazing?
The first time I saw them I didn’t realize it immediately. I was fascinated and very impressed, I tried to imagine all the work behind the creation of these wonderful pieces of art. A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E.
I also enjoyed watching other pictures of the set and all the other works on Flickr, such as birds and lady bugs to hang on wall, bells, other fantastic tea cups (yeah, I’m crazy for Tea Sets!), and more.
All these objects are handmade one by one by Natalya Sots with earthenware ceramic, then fired, glazed and fired again.
Natalia has also a lovely shop on Etsy. I already saved it as a fav.

La prima foto in alto è di un Set da The in Ceramica composto da una tazza da te e una teiera. Proprio così!
A primo impatto non l’avevo capito subito. Sono rimasta affascianta e impressionata, ho cercato di immaginare tutto il lavoro che c’è dietro alla creazione di questi meravigliosi oggetti d’arte. A-D-O-R-A-B-I-L-I.
Mi sono divertita a guardare le altre immagini del set e tutti gli altri lavori su Flickr, come gli uccellini, le coccinelle, le campanelline, altre fantastiche tazze da the (si, ho la fissa per i set da the!), e il resto.
Tutti questi oggetti sono fatti a mano uno ad uno da Natalya Sots con terracotta, poi cotti, smaltati e cotti nuovamente.
Natalia ha anche uno shop in Etsy. E’ già tra i miei preferiti.

The beautiful works of art and design you’re admiring today are from Mook, a project by Carlo Nannetti and Francesca Crisafulli based in Rome, Italy.
The dog in the first image is BRUNO, a carillon. One of my fav together with the CROCODILE LAMP.
It’s fascinating how a creative mind can turn found objects and recycled materials into unique pieces of art like these.
Currently Carlo and Francesca teach at the European Institute of Design.

I lavori artistici e di design che state ammirando sono di Mook, un progetto di Carlo Nannetti e Francesca Crisafulli che vivono e lavorano a Roma, in Italia.
Il cane nella prima immagine è BRUNO, un carillon. Uno dei miei preferiti assieme al CROCODILE LAMP, una lampada con i coccodrilli.

Woah, these are stunning! So full of details that I lost myself watching them one by one. Uncountable colors and lines that intersect each other, a mixture of geometric shapes and curves, an imaginary and abstract space where everything seems to float in a harmonious balance.
I found these works through our IB Flickr Group and they have immediately caught my attention.
The artist is Niki Kelce from Brooklyn, USA. This is an extract from her profile: “Piles of markers, grey greens and blues are the colors I choose, dog obsessed, waterfront zombie, sleepyhead.”
I like this image.

Niki, do you think that in the future you’ll make available also some printed version of your beautiful illustrations? Please do! I’m sure that all those who have a tight budget, would jump for joy to the idea of owning one!

Waaah, grandiosi! Così pieni di dettagli che mi sono persa a guardarli uno ad uno. Innumerevoli colori e linee che si intersecano una con l’altra, un miscuglio di geometrie e curve, uno spazio immaginario e astratto dove ogni cosa sembra fluttuare in armonioso equilibrio.
Ho trovato questi lavori attraverso il nostro Gruppo Flickr di IB e ne sono stata attratta immediatamente.

I like the idea of creating these softies from stories drawn in a sketchbook. All the typical strokes left by an hand-drawn illustration are visible and give to the work a special touch. I love this feature almost on everything – porcelain, wood, clay, metal… – the hand-drawn touch is absolutely one of my favs.
While I was watching these beautiful creations, I also noticed that they come from an Italian artist, exactly from Rimini. She works under the name The Good Machinery and here’s her Etsy shop. Take a look and spread the love!

Mi piace l’idea di creare degli oggetti imbottiti da storie disegnate in un quaderno per gli schizzi (sketchbook). Tutti i tratti tipici lasciati da un disegno fatto a mano restano visibili e danno al lavoro un tocco speciale. Amo questa caratteristica praticamente in tutto – porcellana, legno, ceramica, metallo… – il tocco del tratto fatto a mano libera è assolutamente uno dei miei prefriti.
Mentre stavo osservendo queste belle creazioni, ho anche notato che vengono da un artista italiana, esattamente da Rimini. Lavora sotto al nome The Good Machinery e questo è il suo Etsy shop. Visitatelo e spargete la voce!

I’m in love again. Totally fascinated by the way in which basic shapes like a stylized wolf, are revisited and transformed into something unique by these two artists, Ildiko Muresan and Flavia Marele, under the name of Harem6.
The apparent simplicity of forms is enriched with so many special details designed with care and originality that the final creation is always an authentic piece of art, a gem of the handmade.
Did you see the texture of the legs, ears and tail? They appear covered with a kind of gauze. Love this detail.
And what about drawings? Simple lines that tell stories of imaginary creatures and spaces are filled using color pencils. Childhood’s stroke. I find it brilliant!
Harem6 are from Romania. They’ve had many international exhibitions and participated also in International Art Fairs. Their works have been featured in Elle, The One, Observateur Culturel, Photo Magazine, Contemporary Art catalogs, etc.

Mi sono di nuovo innamorata. Totalmente affascinata dal modo in cui delle forme elementari come quella di un lupo stilizzato, vengono rivisitate e trasformate in qualcosa di così unico da questi due artisti, Ildiko Muresan e Flavia Marele, sotto al nome di Harem6.
L’apparente semplicità delle forme è arricchita di così tanti dettagli particolari studiati con cura e originalità, che la creazione finale risulta sempre un autentico pezzo d’arte, una chicca dell’handmade.
L’avete vista la texture delle zampe, delle orecchie e della coda? Sembrano ricoperte da una specie di garza. Amo questo dettaglio.
E i disegni? Semplici linee che raccontano storie di creature e spazi immaginari riempiti usando matite colorate. Il tratto dell’l'infanzia. Lo trovo geniale!!
Gli Harem6 vengono dalla Romania. Hanno fatto diverse esposizioni all’estero e hanno partecipato anche a fiere d’arte internazionali. I loro lavori sono stati pubblicati in Elle, The One, Observateur Culturel, Photo Magazine, cataloghi di Arte Contemporanea, ecc.

It was love at first sight. Have you see how many delicious trees and leaves?
Tina Rodas is the artist behind this explosion of green. She’s from Los Angeles and hi Tree is the cute name of her brand.
Tina designs and creates trees and woodland creatures made of wool felt. This work started as an hobby but soon become a full-time job.
Some of these handmade works are really giant! Take a look at her Flickr page too and have fun surfing around.
Tina has a blog – I’ve seen juicy giveaways there! - and a lovely Etsy shop too. Uh, and don’t miss hi Tree on Facebook!

E’ stato amore a prima vista. Avete visto quante deliziose foglioline ed alberelli?

These original characters are realized by a two-person company of artists, Dylan & Jo from Portland, Oregon also called “Cart Before The Horse“.
They’re are real artistic sculptures but they’re soft! Yes. The material used are cloths, paint, thread, buttons and wood for the base. I love the “old leather” effect on the fabric given by various layers of sanded paint.

Sono delle vere e proprie sculture, ma sono soffici! Si. I materiali usati sono panni, fili, pittura, bottoni e legno per creare la base. Amo l’effetto “pelle invecchiata” sulla stoffa dato da più strati di pittura e passaggi di carta vetrata.
