In these period I’m in love with all the possible variations of geometric shapes.
Really like these works that Janelle Wisehart is selling on her Lepidoptery Etsy Shop.
She creates these amazing jewelry with all these small and big triangles, and the combinations of colors she use give it the magic final touch.

Probably many of you already know these wonderful works, but I really LOVE them and I promised myself that I would have reserved a space for them here on IB.
The creative heart behind The Storybook Rabbit is Kelly from Sidney, Australia.
Take a closer look to these plates.
She uses vintage things, mostly plates and similar, to make one of a kind pieces where the original design and backgrounds is beautifully matched with her own illustrations and drawings transferred on them through the decals technique.
I find them absolutely original and I particularly like how she combine the original plate’s design with her own.
I must say that her drawings are amazing even by themselves!
Another example of how objects like this can really transform a corner of a house and anonymous walls into something special and unique.
Needless to say that The Storybook Rabbit’ shop is already on my favorites (and I have already planned to buy one for me, you know that I’m not good at withstand temptations from the wonderful “Handmade’s land”!).

Probabilmente molti di voi già conoscono questi meravigliosi lavori, ma mi piacciono troppo e avevo promesso a me stessa che prima o poi avrei riservato loro uno spazio qui in IB.
Il cuore creativo dietro a The Storybook Rabbit è Kelly da Sidney, Australia.
Guarda questi piatti da vicino.
Usa degli oggetti vintage, principalmente piatti e simili, per fare dei pezzi unici in cui il design originale e lo sfondo sono magnificamente abbinati con le sue stesse illustrazioni e disegni, trasferiti in essi attraverso la tecnica delle decalcomanie (quelle apposite per questi materiali).
Li trovo molto originali e mi piace particolarmente come riesce a combinare il design orginale dei piatti ai suoi.
Devo dire che i suoi disegni sono fantastici anche già da soli!
Un’altro esempio di come un oggetto particolare possa davvero trasformare l’angolo di una casa o delle pareti anonime, in qualcosa di speciale ed unico.
Inutile dire che The Storybook Rabbit’ shop è già tra i miei negozi preferiti (e ho già pianificato di acquistarne uno per me, lo sai che non sono per niente brava a resistere alle tentazioni della meravigliosa “terra dell’hanmade”, soprattutto quando sono così belle!).

The inspiration of the day come from Amaia Arrazola, illustrator and designer form Spain.
Drawings apart, that are adorable, I love the idea of using some kind of fabric (I suppose felt) to create the mustache effect in the framed artwork!
And what about this refurbished vintage suitcase? Today I’m totally in a vintage mood!

Apparte i disegni, che trovo adorabili, mi piace molto l’idea di usare un qualche tipo di stoffa (suppongo feltro, in questo caso) per creare l’effetto baffi nelle illustrazioni incorniciate!

How adorable are these Instant Comfort Pocket Boxes by Kim Welling?
They are little handmade worlds inside super lovely boxes, and I strongly believe that the promise to make you instantly feel better, it’s real!
I’m visiting her Etsy shop and after writing this post, I’m going to buy one for myself. Can’t resist!
How to get out without even a little purchase?
I’m still undecided in what to buy, they’re all so beautiful and original. Any suggestion? :)

I instantly fell in love with this art. RetroWhale creates these fantastic mixed media paintings and characters (mostly on wood) that completely drive me crazy!
“I’m inspired by everything but especially 70’s and 80’s design, music, rap lyrics, animals, movies, and oddities.”
I find they’re simply amazing. The themes, the colors, the retro style and the stories behind them.
I strongly suggest to surf around the RetroWhale Etsy shop, there’s lot of great stuff to see!

Mi sono innamorata istantaneamente di queste opere artistiche. RetroWhale crea questi fantastici dipinti e personaggi con l’uso di vari materiali (principalmente su legno), e mi fanno letteralmente impazzire!

The creative mind behind these beautiful handmade sculptures called Mooks is Kimberley Laurenti, from Florida.
Using polymer clay, wood and paper mache Kimberley creates these characters, their masks and all the little details that enrich the work.

The featured art of today is by The Pin Pals! Two original girls – Samantha Purdy and Sara Guindon – from Montreal, Canada.
They create original cross-stitch jewelry (such as brooches, earrings and hair barrettes) with their own designs and handmade paper puppet dolls with amazing illustrations. I love the packaging too!
