Probably many of you already know these wonderful works, but I really LOVE them and I promised myself that I would have reserved a space for them here on IB.
The creative heart behind The Storybook Rabbit is Kelly from Sidney, Australia.
Take a closer look to these plates.
She uses vintage things, mostly plates and similar, to make one of a kind pieces where the original design and backgrounds is beautifully matched with her own illustrations and drawings transferred on them through the decals technique.
I find them absolutely original and I particularly like how she combine the original plate’s design with her own.
I must say that her drawings are amazing even by themselves!
Another example of how objects like this can really transform a corner of a house and anonymous walls into something special and unique.
Needless to say that The Storybook Rabbit’ shop is already on my favorites (and I have already planned to buy one for me, you know that I’m not good at withstand temptations from the wonderful “Handmade’s land”!).

Guarda questi piatti da vicino.
Usa degli oggetti vintage, principalmente piatti e simili, per fare dei pezzi unici in cui il design originale e lo sfondo sono magnificamente abbinati con le sue stesse illustrazioni e disegni, trasferiti in essi attraverso la tecnica delle decalcomanie (quelle apposite per questi materiali).
Li trovo molto originali e mi piace particolarmente come riesce a combinare il design orginale dei piatti ai suoi.
Devo dire che i suoi disegni sono fantastici anche già da soli!
Un’altro esempio di come un oggetto particolare possa davvero trasformare l’angolo di una casa o delle pareti anonime, in qualcosa di speciale ed unico.
Inutile dire che The Storybook Rabbit’ shop è già tra i miei negozi preferiti (e ho già pianificato di acquistarne uno per me, lo sai che non sono per niente brava a resistere alle tentazioni della meravigliosa “terra dell’hanmade”, soprattutto quando sono così belle!).
